KTM's 790 stock height and weight distribution is more comfortable for shorter folks. You can get lower links and lower seat. I don't know if the 890 shares the same spec (probably). KLR's are tall, vStroms are tall, Tigers are tall. KTM 690 Enduro is tall but skinny like a dirt bike (SM shorter).

I spent over a thousand to have my 690 revalved and setup properly. My suspension guy said the 690 is setup more like a MX bike, able to survive big air jumps and pounding whoops. Something that's not mentioned much is the rather narrow turn radius. Being a short rider (5'5") and the 690 being heavy compared to other dirt bikes I definitely struggle in the tight stuff. show shallow steering angle doesn't help much but most stuff is still doable but you'll be working harder than other guys.

I had a ktm 690 enduro r and it was definitely better offroad but onroad it's no comparison, T7 is a better all around bike imo. If you weren't doing any highway riding and just wanted something barely street legal it would be a different answer. If I was choosing a bike to ride around the world on the T7 would be on the short list.
For taller riders the footpegs are too high and you may find yourself in a jockey-style position and some find the bars too low as well although that's an easy fix on both the KTM 690R and the Husqvarna 701. While the ergos suit shorter riders, the tall seat height works against them though. KTM 500 EXC-F – plenty of power, best for off-road and experienced riders ; Honda XR650L – simple, reliable, stable/heavier, and good all-around; KTM 690 Enduro R – Great engine, a little heavier and more stable than the 650 dual-sport bikes; Husqvarna 701 Enduro – Same as KTM 690 but “white” Wife used to commute on her 640 Adv (later converted to a 640E front fairing for that dirtbike on 'roids feel) for years.
